About Us

It all started in college. As art students, we fell in love with photography. Everything from mixing darkroom chemicals to making black and white prints in the tiny university darkroom at 3 a.m. was an adventure. And of course, the act of taking photographs was always very exciting. And still is.

For us, a photograph is a story. It's more than just a snap of the shutter—we think about our images as artwork, taking into account composition, lighting, and more. We think outside the frame.

When we started FinestraPhoto in 2004, our goal was to blend art with commercial photography. Today, we're doing just that by providing customers with fine art photographs.

FinestraPhoto can fulfill all of your photography needs. We use the latest digital technology to produce razor sharp, high resolution photographs. We also have a mobile light studio to enhance any environment. And we also use 35mm and medium format film to create traditional print photographs.

FinestraPhoto is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, but our photography has taken us around the world. Please contact us today if you are interested in any of our photography services. If you're outside the Knoxville area, we're always willing to make travel arrangements with adequate advanced notice.

Brandon's interest in photography started at a young age, but it wasn't until the late 1990s when he really became a bona fide shutterbug. Brandon got his first SLR at that time, and the rest is history.

Brandon has worked for photography studios and with professional photographers in East Tennessee. He's also taught photography classes and courses in digital photography and photo-editing at East Tennessee State University.

In addition to photography, Brandon also works with interactive web technologies, designing and implementing websites and new media applications.
